Terms of Use

Last updated: see repository history · this is a preliminary, non-lawyer-drafted notice, not a substitute for professional legal advice
Read this before connecting a real broker account. This platform is experimental software, built and operated by a single individual as a personal project. It executes real trades against real brokerage accounts when configured to do so. Do not connect real money you are not prepared to lose entirely, and do not use this platform for funds you depend on.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or otherwise using this platform ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Experimental Software, Provided "As Is"

The Service is an actively-changing, experimental project, not a finished commercial product. It has not been independently audited or certified. Bugs, downtime, data loss, incorrect calculations, missed or duplicated orders, and unannounced breaking changes should all be expected as normal possibilities, not edge cases. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

3. Not Financial, Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice

Nothing on the Service — including backtest results, strategy rankings, expectancy/win-rate statistics, or any script bundled with the platform — constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Backtested and simulated ("paper") results are hypothetical, run against historical data, and do not reflect the cost, slippage, latency, taxes, or psychological pressure of real trading. Past performance, simulated or real, is not indicative of future results.

4. Trading Risk

Trading financial instruments — including cryptocurrency, equities, and any other asset class the Service supports — carries a substantial risk of loss, including the loss of your entire principal, and is not suitable for every person. Automated/algorithmic trading adds further risk: a script can misbehave, a broker API can fail or behave unexpectedly mid-trade, and market conditions can move faster than the Service polls or reacts. You are solely responsible for:

Only enable a real (non-paper) broker once you have reviewed a strategy's behavior in paper mode and are comfortable with what it does.

5. Your Credentials and Funds

Broker API keys you provide are used solely to place orders and read account state on your behalf, and are stored encrypted at rest. Reasonable care is taken to protect them, but no method of storage or transmission is guaranteed perfectly secure, and no guarantee is made against unauthorized access, service compromise, or key leakage. You remain responsible for the credentials you issue to this Service — scope them as narrowly as your broker allows, and revoke them immediately if you stop using the Service or suspect any compromise.

6. No Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator(s) of this Service are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to your use of the Service — including trading losses, missed trades, incorrect fills, downtime, or data loss — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. You use the Service, and any broker connected to it, entirely at your own risk.

7. Changes

Because this is an experimental, actively-developed project, the Service, these Terms, and any strategy, script, or feature it offers may change, break, or be discontinued at any time, without notice.

8. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be directed to the person who gave you access to this instance of the Service.
